My Running Shoe Rotation

about me as a runner:

  • I have wide feet

  • I run and walk with a neutral gait (meaning, I typically do not over or underpronate)

  • Currently I run only on the road (as opposed to trail running)

  • I’m training for: Evansville Memorial Day 10K, Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon, Indianapolis Monumental Half Marathon, Walt Disney World Marathon, and a few 5Ks

brooks ghost 15

Rating: 8/10

Use: All training runs, 5K races

brooks ghost max

Rating: 8.5/10

Use: Long runs, half marathon races

asics gt-1000 11

Rating: 7/10

Use: Daily walks

I do really like these shoes, but they have a bit more stability than I need as someone with a neutral gait.

asics gt-2000 10

Rating: 7/10

Use: These were the first running shoes I was ever recommended at a running store. They served me well for a while, but just like the GT-1000 11’s, they have a little more stability than I need.

a little extra:

Shoes I’ve used in the past but did not like (this is 100% individual to each person, don’t ever buy a bunch of shoes solely based on what other people say on the internet. Go to a store to get assessed and fitted, if possible. Try and buy from stores that allow you to try the shoes and return them in any condition):

  1. HOKA Women’s Rincon 3 // hurt my arches immediately

  2. Brooks Glycerin 21 // too heavy
